Ready Scotland App

Featured Replies

Just discovered this wee app from the Scottish Government with a text from O2 preloaded with emergency telephone numbers, helpful tips, checklists for the car and home which some people might find useful. Even if you don't live in Scotland the advice and checklists may prove useful.

The link O2 sent me doesn't work, (no real surprise there, the fuds) but just done a search on the Play Store and there it was.

Another good idea that's a few years old is the ICE number thing; basically you have an In Case of Emergency number in your contacts. services

My new phone has a special ICE listing stored at the top with options to list numbers to call should the emergency services find it in the event of an accident and options to list meds taken etc.

For information before or while travelling, current incidents, live traffic cameras etc,  i usually just use.

It is a pity that in the Worst Conditions or Locations that there are likely to be Road Closures and Long delays with roads blocked

there is very often no Reception on the Phone or Broadband.
