Cracked LED Daytime Running Light - Replacement

[VRS Fabia]

Ive just noticed a crack in my left hand side LED DRL.

 

I think I've sourced a replacement on ebay, any advice if this would fit my 2012 Favia VRS (left hand drive, assuming the light fittings are the same).

Wonder what difference that makes?

Drls arent dipped like a headlight unit are they

That's what I'm wondering, it does state right hand drive however I can't think of a reason for it not fitting a left hand drive car?

 

Also how big a job is it to replace, I hope the bumper does not need removing?

Post #1 shows the DRL and how to remove it.

If you look at your lights you will see the seal around them and the Plastic Cover.

 

As long as you buy a Right or Left you should be getting the correct unit.

If it is just a crack, and since you are in a pretty dry place,

can you not just pull off the Plastic Surround and then put Clear Repair Tape (Fablon or Helicopter Tape) over the DRL.

Do both Sides of the car, and replace the Surrounds.

'Much Cheapness', and future proof.

Great link and advice goneoffSKi  if it cracks again I'm going to take the advice on the repair tape.

 

I ordered the light from Skoda in Qatar (about 60 pound), takes 20 days to arrive.  Will fit myself as it looks fairly easy........
