  1. Replying to my thread here to say that I needed a new clutch and flywheel kit "ZMS MODUL CLUTCH KIT" - to be exact. Wasn't cheap ยฃ512 +vat! then labour on top. So, the original clutch made it to 250,000 miles - I'm pleased with that! Here's to another 250k! Thanks for your advice @bmbmdmb P.S. I also needed a new EGR cooler pipe @ ยฃ115+vat... That would explain why the cabin often smelt like fumes when the car was stationary ๐Ÿ™„
  2. Sorry, I haven't a Scooby-Doo what you are talking about mate ๐Ÿ˜• You reckon a new slave cylinder might rectify the issue?
  3. Hi folks, 2007 Fabia vRS Limited Edition here with 250,000 miles on the clock. My pride & joy, I might add. Original clutch & exhaust too. All happy motoring apart from the usual head lift @ around 100K miles (skimmed head and longer bolts fitted with zero issues since ๐Ÿ‘Š) Recently, the clutch has been acting unusual. It will go 'soft' only after I have accelerated hard (as in over taking on the motorway or pulling away from a junction or roundabout). The clutch travels a lot further before the biting point engages to change gear. I almost feel like it might not change gear but it will at the very last point. This can last for about 5-10mins before the clutch returns to normal (i.e. the clutch has more resistance and requires the usual effort to press it rather than zero effort). This cycle repeats itself daily. So, I have been hesitant to 'put the foot down' (not to race, but just push on and get from A to B ). Any ideas or experience of similar conditions from you knowledgeable bunch ๐Ÿ˜œ? Advice greatly appreciated.
  4. It's crazy - sitting with 250k miles on my vRS and it still has the original exhaust (minus the outer skin) & it works fine. Also, still on my original clutch too!
  5. @sepulchrave For me it's more about having original factory options included - such as this Sat Nav system. The rarer the better. Agreed, it ain't much use nowadays but still a nice original feature ๐Ÿ‘
  6. Agreed @softscoop - everything looks in decent condition for the age.
  7. Well spec'd Fabia here!! Skoda, FABIA, Hatchback, 2006, Manual, 1896 (cc), 5 doors | in Ipswich, Suffolk | Gumtree - upgraded genuine Skoda leather seats plus they are heated! I reckon the original owner had selected the heated seats option when ordering the car and once the leather option became available they got the seats recovered. - rear centre leather head rest too! - xenon headlights which include the headlight washers - rear parking sensors Give the car a good clean, refresh the badges & wheel centre caps then this would look well. If it had the Sunroof & Sat Nav option included then it could possibly be the ultimate Fabia vRS in the UK...
  8. This mat looks great, really neat fitting ๐Ÿ‘
  9. I have been trying (for years) to get my hands on a genuine boot dish/tray for the Fabia and managed to find a brand new "old stock" one that appeared on eBay a couple of weeks ago. Much to my delight I went to purchase it but the seller was away so his shop was 'closed'. I had to wait until the seller returned but with 9 other watchers I wasn't too confident I could win it - low and behold I managed to win. Pretty pleased with it to be honest:
  10. Gotta say the "Swiss Blue" Edition Fabia vRS has some tasty looking seats! Here are a set for sale in the Czech Republic but getting in contact (from the UK here) seems impossible - not that I am looking to purchase them. How does one go about making contact with the sellers on these Czech sites? SWISS BLUE EDITION Fabia RS - Slovakia | Bazoลก.cz (bazos.cz)
  11. So the 'rare' rear centre armrest does indeed have a stowage compartment like the one in @Breezy_Pete's set of VW Polo Sport's seats:
  12. It is loaded with sought after options, for sure! Well spotted with the cup holder detail! I remember this when I sourced my flat edged cup holder back in the day. Lets be honest, the cup holders are a bit wick - I guess it depends on what type of cup/bottle/can you have placed in it.
  13. Thanks @Bogwoppit - nice to see an official document showing the leather seat upgrade! Will have a look online to see if this brochure is available. I have x2 copies of the limited edition brochure to go along with my car. I had another one but someone 'misplaced' it when my car was displayed by Skoda earlier this year for the launch of the new Fabia ๐Ÿ˜” Skoda were displaying all the previous Fabia's and asked could they use mine in the showroom. I will put a post up soon about it. @softscoop - some super rare Fabia combinations on that Czech website, I love it! I have spent the morning trawling through the various Fabia RS's and found another one with the fold down centre arm rest (and head rest for bonus points): Skoda fabia rs 1.9TDI 96kw - Praha 1 | Bazoลก.cz (bazos.cz) Another one with the rare Gear Stick lock (manual cars): Fabia rs 1,9tdi 96kw - Praha 4 | Bazoลก.cz (bazos.cz) Must get back to work here and stop getting distracted ๐Ÿ˜
  14. I'm not having much joy in sourcing the documents or official advertisement for the leather seat upgrade ๐Ÿ˜Œ I have found the original part number for the upgrade though: Part No. ZGB6Y0061625 Reference: Leather Seat Trim Upgrade I did, however, manage to get my hands on one of the seats!!! An upholstery company based in Leicester where replacing their display seats and they had one of these vRS leather upgraded seats on a display plinth! I am putting two & two together and reckon they were the upholstery company that provided Skoda UK with the upgraded seats upon request. The guy who I dealt with didn't have any background information but is going to see what information he could pull together from his colleagues ๐Ÿคž I have a limited edition Fabia vRS and I can tell you this upgraded leather seat matches the quality in every way - it is the exact same apart from the red piping, green stitching and minus the embossed number. I also made contact with Skoda UK and was told to contact the Parts department @ my local Skoda dealer who could check the part number. I did this and indeed it brought up the reference as "Leather Seat Trim Upgrade" however there was not documents etc attached. So, yeah, if anyone has a document, screenshot, email, .pdf of the original promotional advert I would be so grateful!
  15. Thank folks. @AnnoyingPentium - had a look but no joy ๐Ÿ˜” Some good links there & some are missing (unfortunately). @softscoop - That was the writeup I remember but do you think there was any official documents provided by Skoda? There must be. The hunt continues.
