Autobrite HD Lance

Featured Replies

Hi

Ordered a HD lance Friday, due delivery today.

How do you peeps maintain it?

Flush/clean through? Assume water in the bottle and run it?

How do you store it too?

Any advice appreciated.

I just take the bottle off when I'm finished and let some water run through (sticking my finger over the end of the tube occasionally. Bottle put back on and stored upright.

Hi Andy

Just put some hottish water in the bottle and run it for a while to clean it out

Storing in the garage isnt a problem...... except in freezing conditions

I dismantle it and keep it in my rinse bucket

Thanks chaps.

Guessing without the rise it would get quite scummy, quite quickly given the density of the soap/foam.

Looking forward to respraying my white car......white with foam!

Pictures or it never happened ;)  B)

Ha ha Chris!

Might just post a few if I can be bothered to power up the laptop (not sure how to on the iPhone)!

I can confirm that if you dont rinse it. It doesnt last very long. It now spits bubbles like a small child instead of foams.

Checked this procedure with Autobrite when i was down at HQ recently.

Rinse through with clean water and store - all should be fine.

One thing that was mentioned was a thorough rinse and clean of the lance bottle.

Either keep main lance head screwed on or place cap on lance bottles - if you have more than one (for different solutions/products).

Many many failed lances due to wood lice, insects and the likes climbing into foam lance bottles whilst in storage.

Hope this helps.

Nothing crawls into mine Steve..They wouldnt be quick enough before I use it again :D

100% agree

I've never rinsed mine! Woops....
