amundsen street information missing

Featured Replies

whenever I use my Amundsen satnav and put in a post code, it says 'street information not available' or something like that and does not allow me to put house numbers in. Is there a fix for this?

the car is only 4 weeks old!!

My Columbus also does this a lot of the time (like 90%). Always seems to get me to the right spot though! It generally does it if you go to a block of flats that have their own postcode, so a house number/street name is pointless as it knows exactly where the building is anyway, this I understand, but as I say, it has been doing to for normal street's as well, no idea why!

There is a solution to this: when you get to the destination indicated by the sat nav, look out of the window :p

It does it 100% of the time on my Columbus

My 5 year old Garmin always takes me to the number on the door and here am thinking of buying a new Skoda with built in GPS.

Only enter 5 or 6 characters of the post code leaving the last one or two characters out, press next and it will then ask for road and number.

Had my car over a year now & would never have thought this was the way to input a house number. My TomTom goes the logical route of once you have a street name it asks you for a house number if there are any available.

Just another quirk of an expensive in car sat nav. Just tried it on my Amundsen & it works - thanks for the info.

All brands seem to have thier own quirks.

The nexus in my old MK2 was the same although you could not enter a full postcode at all.
