MKV Golf Callipers on Yeti

Featured Replies

Hope someone has more know how than me!!

I was about to go for some used kit from s 2013 Yeti for my brake upgrade when I came across these Pagid callipers for a MKV Golf 2.0tdi for £70 each, stamped up with Audi, VW etc emblems so look like OEM kit.

I know the Yeti has a MKV Golf platform so I'm hoping these will go fine? I've sourced some new hubs at a great price and already have the carriers, all together this would come in cheaper than the used kit!!

AFIK, the calipers are the same on yours already as the Vrs ones.

The sirrocco ones I got for mine were.

I don't think there is much difference between the mk V and VI golf under the skin.

I've got the FSIII Type with carriers built into the hub and 280mm discs. It means changing the hub, callipers and carriers!!

Big job but one that's needed as I'm heading for more power from Sharky :)

I know. Mine was the same. The original caliper was the same as the new Sirrocco one. Same mounting, same dia piston. Except the old ones had 60,000 mile on them and the new ones were 106 mile old and would rather throw away the old than the new.

Mine is a 56 Octavia, so it could be things have changed.

So your FSIII callipers would have fit with just new hubs and carriers?

AFAIR.

But you don't have to do anything drastic to just double check.

Wheel off and a minute measuring.

If they have changed, then you will just put them back on and you know where to source some.

Someone here insisted the dampers were the same and they weren't....

Double check.
