I just bought an octavia and would like to replace the gear **** as its in a really bad state. I tryed most things but i cant seem to get it out. Does any one know what to do...Thanx

ok the gear **** is the gear stick head as it sems to be sensored

If it's an Octy 1, you should just be able to:

open up the ashtray and remove the bin from it, then firmly but gently pull the plastic surround around the base of the gear stick.

This will then reveal the full length the gear shaft, upon which there should be a jubilee clip, which you can then loosen to get the **** off.

i did do that and saw the jubilee clip, but it was too stubborn...but if thats it then i gues i just have to give it another tug...thanx alot
