Clock time change

Featured Replies

I know it will be simple... But how do I change the time on my mk2 fabia clock, I seem to remember it has to do with the stereo ?

If you have Maxidot then it's done via the rocker switch on the end the wiper stalk, the car needs to be stationary as well as you'll get a warning message and it won't work if you're moving.

Mine is the 2010 model so not too sure if it's maxi dot, I press the button on the panel next to the mileage reset and this highlights the hours but that is as far as I get.

Maxidot's the black and white screen between the Speedo and Rev counter, if you've got the green backlit screen then I'm not sure how to do it, sorry.

If it's just the hour change you're after and you have Maxidot, turn daylight saving option off

You press the button that looks like a file which highlights the hours then press the trip button next to it to change the numbers then the other button again.

Plus one!

This is for the MFD display. The one with a green background

On my VRS you use the file button on the speedo not the rocker switch, that's maxi dot

On the vRS i have reset, it is on the Washer Stalk Rocker. That is Maxi Dot.

I'm confused now, doesn't take much, I have the display you posted George and used the 'file* and trip button under the display, didn't touch the rocker. I have an analogue oil and petrol gauge. I've the mc tech. Do I have maxi dot or mfd?

Sounds like a maxidot if youve got the analogue fuel and temp gauges. The background should be black and white, as appose to the green on the mfd.

Sounds like you need to go into the menus with the rocker switch then...

Sorry. Is that MFD I posted?

You posted the settings menu off the dash which I thought was maxi dot.

Otaylor38 I used the buttons under the display to change my clock. The writing is white and the background black.

You have Maxidot, I've only used the rocker switch, didn't realise you could use the file button so it seems you can use both.

You posted maxidot mate.

Mfd has the green background; im sure youve seen them before haha :)

Glad you're sorted anyway :)

Some confusion going off here haha

My Greenline has the Maxidot (as that's what I opted for when I bought it!)

Press the 'File' button on the left to 'Highlight' the Hour or Minute (depending on which you want to change) then press the 'Reset/00' button on the right to adjust forward (go round the clock if you need to go backward).

No need to get into any menus or touch the end of the wiper stalk!
