...Because of a build up of crud and garden/building residue, I needed to remove this before brushing and thumping it to get the worst of the muck and dust out of it.

 

Found a problem in that the centre seat belt is permanently attached through a non-slotted hole in the carpet. As this bit is all under the rear seats anyway, one quick snip with the kitchen scissors facilitated removal.
