Bye bye VRS it's been fun!

Time has come to finally say goodbye to my VRS, after 6 years of ownership and clocking up 146,000 miles it has been an absolutely amazing car to own and virtually trouble free with only the power steering pump giving up and the heater matrix pipe leaking!

It will be missed that's for sure and certainly the power will be too ;(

It's gone in PX for a Monte Carlo Tech and the dealer gave me a reasonable price for it so hopefully the monte will give me just as many trouble free years of driving.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me with various questions over the years.

First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it. Is the skoda scala slave cylinder concentric and located inside the gearbox for all models, or is it just the 1.5 engine which doesn't have it on the outside of hte gearbox? I'm seeing different reports about whether the gearbox needs to be removed to check or replace it on a 1.0 litre engine.

The fan for air conditioning and heater on my 2006 Octavia Mk2 L&K is not working. I have checked the fuses and they are OK. Does it have a relay that might have failed? I am hoping it is not the fan unit itself, as this seems to be peculiar to RHD models with climatronic and was discontinued by Skoda in 2022. (Part no. 1K2 820 021).

I have had an ongoing problem for 2 years with my 2018 Kodiaq .2.0l TSI battery losing charge over a few days and the battery charging randomly at different charge rates. To date I have had: 2 replacement batteries (at my cost) then under Extended Warranty (now expired) 1 replacement negative battery lead (with sensor) 1 replacement alternator Symptoms (monitored with Ancel Battery Manager device and multimeter) Battery discharges in a few hours from 100% SoC /12.8v to around 65% then conti
