Anyone done the Catch Can mod on a new Petrol VRS

Featured Replies

Has anyone done, or investigated doing, fitting a Catch Can on a new petrol VRS?.

Is it easy,

is it a definite benefit on the new design engine,

is it even physically possible,

are there any downsides.

Any info appreciated

I can't see how women's clothing is going to help in the slightest...

:p

I don't think it is necessary to fit one to a new VRS petrol since it has 'double' injection ie a double set of injectors, one bank direct into the cylinder and the other bank into the manifold.

The manifold injectors 'wash' the inlet valves of the crud that accumulates there, which the catch can is supposed to catch.

Might be a case for fitting one to a direct injection only engine like the 1.4tsi but I am not sure how effective catch cans really are anyway.
