Ex Yeti Owner Soon To Be

Featured Replies

After 5 years and two Yetis, both 140 SE TDi 4x4 I am about to leave the herd, or flock or whatever a group of Yeti is called. Quite reluctantly I might add, but the lack of boot space with spare wheel was becoming increasingly problematic. The weekly shop with 3 adults and recently added child's seat just didn't leave enough space. For us a spare wheel is essential. Yes there are still places in the UK where the nearest supermarket is 40 miles away and the nearest Macdonalds (and Skoda dealer) 100 ! and the spare has been a lifesaver on several  occasions. Would unreservedly recommend a Yeti to anyone. Five trouble free years with  one of the most satisfying cars I have ever owned and might well be back when Yeti 2 is born. Anyhow, not really moving that far - awaiting the arrival, next month, of a Skoda Octavia estate 150 tdi elegance 4x4 ..

100 miles to the nearest Macdonalds!  That's real deprivation,my day doesn't start until I've had a MaccyD bacon roll and coffee.

Won't comment on your healthy eating regime but approve of your colour choice -- saw a jungle green Yeti at my dealers - my first choice if I'd been in the market for another Yeti.

You will be lost with ALL that space in the Octy     :D  :D

I have really noticed reduction having gone the other way

And I first thought you might have changed because your mirrors don't fold at warp factor 5!

Yes, they do carry a good load, you cannot see the BBQ, gas bottle, (upright and very secure) poles for caravan awning and 2 ton trolly jack. Still within GVW and axle limits.

Aye , thats much more like what I need. The yeti is always a bit of a challenge .Has your octavia 4x4 been good overall

That is possibly the only thing I have missed from the Octy - the boot was enormous in it. The yeti boot isn't exactly small but it is vertical space not deep like the octy.

Yes with the Yeti boot you have to think vertical not horizontal.

No complaints from me, yes very good, even on a muddy field pulling the caravan off. After 8 months of ownership I did actually  take it back.............. to Mlada Boleslav to the Skoda museum and factory!
