Spoke to my dealer today (as i do most days it seems!) and he confirmed that he had been asked to order his showroom Combi by the end of play today in order for there to be plenty of time for build prior to March launch.  Exciting times as i asked him to make it a Candy white SEL with Pan roof and i'll have it.

Did they say when Customers can order them and expect delivery in the UK?

New fabia estate starts from £12460! Poverty S spec with pathetic 1.0 mpi engine.

Too much I think considering the old fabia special estate (SE spec plus metallic/spare wheel/1.2tsi engine) was selling at £9995

the more I look, it seems the new fabia is more expensive like for like than a VW polo, only issue is they don't do an estate :(

 

even some of the extras are more expensive on a skoda??? is VW going to get pushed down the VAG pecking order below skoda? skoda do far better them in all surveys for satisfaction / customer service

The Polos might go up in price in 2015, then there needs to be a replacement. They were just given a facelift.

So if a base Kombi is £12460, does that mean there is a two grand premium over the hatch? Which if that is the case is going to be ridicously expensive. Stupid money. Going out my price bracket. Can get a lot more car for the money. Seems they are putting the Fabia in A1 prices.

But we will have to wait and see.

It is maybe worth comparing them with the price of Seat Ibiza ST, a nice estate and pretty good value.

Building the cost of a healthy discount and 0% finance in I'd guess. I'm a little underwhelmed tbh. I would want an estate, don't want a vast car, mine gets used for a short commute and family days out/holidays. I keep hoping they'll bring back the VRS like they did with the mk II. I certainly won't be buying a 1.0. The Civic tourer looks interesting and some good deals to be had in PCP and leasing.
