I've got 2001 1.9tdi elegance fabia. I have recently discovered that steering rack is leaking. I poured some stop leak stuff in the reservoir and it seems to me it's stopped leaking. The cost of repair will be about 250 quid (recon unit). Next year I will have to replace cambelt (£200). I'm not sure whether I want to invest 500 quid in the car which value is around 1 grand. The car's clocked 148k miles.

I have never part exchanged a car. Is px a rip-off I mean what can a trader offer me? £300?

What do you reckon the cars value is? Its pretty good condition, everything works.
