suspension help.......... BUSHES!

Featured Replies

Went to get my wheel alignment done the other day, but was told they couldn't do it due to the poor condition of the bushes causing play. (though it passed its MOT 2 weeks ago with no advisories??).

I seem to have a habit of going through bushes, as I found on on my old fabia where I had console bushes every 30k and drop links about every 15k, along with ARB bushes at the same time! It worked out at about 2-3 sets of bushes a year.

Now driving a pre-fl Mk2 octavia Estate PD. Is there any good bushes out there I could use? I know some polybushes are hit and miss durability wise. Need something pretty heavy duty, possibly some new heavy duty rear shocks too. Do lots of over-spirited driving with heavy loads in the boot. I don't really want to go down the whole new suspension route, though the increase in mpg from lower ride heights is tempting, but not with the kit i carry! So if anyone has any recommendations please point them this way. Also looking at getting a remap from shark soon, so want the rest of the car to keep up ;)

I can recommend super pro ones, as for shocks Bilstein b6 are good if you don't want to lower but want a high performance shock
