Winter tyres snow video

Featured Replies

Two days after splashing out on a set of Dunlop SP Winter Sport tyres, I find this video on YouTube.

I'm a happy chappy but to be fair any Yeti shod with decent winter tyres should be able to do the same.

It might very well in Powder Snow.  If that is much use to you.

Yeti wheel arches would be even better.

I've done better than that in a 2wd Passat with winter tyres :)

Strikes me that any sensibly driven car, with reasonable tyres, would be OK in that sort of virgin snow. I'd like to see a re-run on packed snow!!

I got my Yeti 4x4 SE (with no off-road button or any extras) for spending winters out in the French Alps.

I decided against winter tyres for the yeti after I used snow socks on my old Audi A4 Avant 2wd and they got me through anything.

We've had a couple heavy snowfalls this autumn and the yeti has been incredible, on hard packed roads and in fresh snow, without socks/chains.

The only thing to watch out for is braking in icy conditions.

The tyres that came standard were Pirelli Cinturato P7.

I hope this might come in handy this winter.
