Hi all,

 

I have just cleaned and greased the gear linkage on my MK1 vRS as it was getting a bit stiff, I wanted to re-set the gear cables and found the helpful youtube vid that's posted on this forum, but my car has a B&M quickshifter fitted so there isn't a locking mechanism under the gaitor in the car to lock the gear lever in place.

I have lost the original instructions as I fitted it years ago, has anyone got any ideas? I know there are loads of copys on Ebay so would assume they would need set up the same as mine?

use cable ties to stick back

"to hold stick" that should have read

 

I remember using the seat belt buckle bracket

Where do I cable tie it back too though? Is the position not critical for correct adjustment,?

sorry, probably bit late now - but iirc the stick needs to be held in 2nd gear position
