2 fog lights or 1?

Featured Replies

Only one of my rear foglights works on my fabia. I have looked and there are 2 bulbs but only one works. I have swaped out the non working bulb for a known good 1 but still no joy.

spoken to a dealer adn they said it only had one on the rear but why have skoda put a bulb in both but only wired 1 to work?

so i ask is the deaker lying or should only one foglight work on the rear?

Thanks for your help

IIRC most cars only have 1 fog light....my Octavia only had one but is now wired up to have both working.

I assume you'll probably have to do the same if you want both to work.

1 fog light only :)

edit: the reason for 1 rear fog light is 2 can be confused for break lights

cheers guys, my mind can now rest easy

Its a spare bulb !!

they put 2 bulbs in as it's easier to make all bulb holders the same and just stick them in, rather than muck about so that half have only a single filament and is put in one side or the other depending on a LHD or RHD model
