Connecting IPOD to Skoda Audio Equipment

Featured Replies

Hi,

Has anyone tried out this Ipod interface to Skoda original audio equipment from Discount Audio:

http://www.caraudiodiscount.com/acatalog/Product_Skoda_567.html

They specify original Skoda equipment, listed as follows: Head Unit 402, 502, Symphony, (Must Have CD Control)

The Audio Unit in my 2005 Ocatavia is listed as STREAM (with CD changer button - No CD changer installed) - I wonder if thiis is compatible with the above product.

Luv to know if anyone has installed one:

- Happy with product?

- Installation tip/probs etc.,

I'm a new member and think this forum is GREAT!

Looks very similar to the Dension IceLink which I'm sure I've seen for rather less than

Yes, I agree, it looks like the Dension Ice>Link, together with the Dension cradle, which explains the price tag. You should also be able to get it without the cradle (I use a Brodit, for example) for less than

Welcome to Briskoda.

Compatibility shouldn't be a problem. Symphony is fitted in the Fabia and the Fabia Changer is the same as the Octy II changer. Thus both Symphony & Stream use the same protocol and the same adapters should work for both.

Yep - This is a great site!

Thanks for ALL replies - really helpful.

I think I'll be going for the Dension Icelink - I checked it out since reading advice and it sounds just the ticket (and cheaper too!)

Regards to all,

Jack

Hi,

New on this site too. Have just put my name down on a Fabia vRS Ltd Edition and it comes with 6 disc CD player, not sure what the make is though and as such am not sure whether the above 2 posts will be the correct i-pod connector options?

Anyone able to advise me what sort of product i should be looking at in order to connect the i-pod to the 6 disc CD player supplied in the car?

Many thanks
