Raspberry Pi and a USB hard drive

Featured Replies

I would but I don't have anything that's always on. I'm looking to get rid of the PC I've got as a media server as it makes so much noise.

Pi plus Pi-UPS and a remote controlled plug with a 4way lead on it. Add USB hub and USB disk.

Can't really go too far wrong with RaspBMC or OSMC. Only real worry is opening the wallet to spend thirty earth pounds on a Pi2. Or get a cheap NAS thing with a UPNP server imbedded and touch that from XBMC.
