New Yeti! radio?

Featured Replies

Well, the new Yeti is on the drive. Unimpressive hand over by the dealer, as the salesman was off for the day.

As flagged on here recently the standard radio has changed, now comes with the Bolero. BUT, we now don't have the ability to play CD's which, being old fashioned, is our preferred car entertainment.

Congrats on the new car :sun:  Like you I would miss a CD player but I guess we have to see it as progress

Why carry bulky CD's around when you could have up to 7,500 songs on one 32Gb SD card?

I'm confused and want to help.

The Bolero has a 6-disc CD changer built in!

Thanks Kenny R, good point! Promise I will now RTFM!

The MDI option is not available (nor needed?) for the second-generation Bolero. That no longer has a CD player, but comes instead with USB and aux-in sockets and integrated Bluetooth, plus MirrorLink - which is not compatible with Apple devices.

WTF are CD's :notme: . I thought they were obsolete. I'm 55 and trying to get my 64 year old mate to change is an impossibility. He travels with them on the passenger seat and changes them on the move. Not good.

CD's   Stopped using them 4 years ago when i got my FL Octy, & it had an SD card slot, Now i have the Yeti, the SD card got topped up with newer tracks & was copied to the HDD.

Although I am looking to get my Vinyl back out to play again, - Sales are picking up again on this format. ;)  :D

You'll be hard pushed to get that working in a Yeti.

I've never tried my 6 slot as the SD card is so good......the only trouble is I need to get the converter thingy put back (converts iMusic to MP3) on my PC which I lost after being forced to do a reset .

I sound like I know what I'm talking about........don't be fooled.

I must admit that I am not totally disappointed. If I get a CD stuck in the player in the boot of the Octy I can dismantle. The Bolero, on the other hand, would be a major project to get out of the dash!!

Best I've found on PC is "Media Monkey" and its free. or " I Tunes"  if your a "Apple Freak".

Love my Columbus's ability to play MP3, CD/DVD = heaps  of my favourite Tracks.
