Vacuum box - BKC engine - N75 - No power

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have had issues with my Skoda mk2 1.9tdi, the turbo is not kicking in / no boost.

I bought a cable off ebay and the code is P0246 - N75 solenoid valve positive short - There is an engine light on.

I looked everywhere and I mean everywhere and couldn't find it in the engine bay, so I checked the workshop manual for a BKC engine and the N75 valve along with others is contained within a Vacuum Valve Box thingy, part number is 6Q0906625.

Does anyone know if this unit can be opened and if just the N75 can be swapped out? Or do I need to change the entire unit.

Also if anyone knows what fuse I need to look at for this unit.

Many thanks

Hi,

I had this part fail on my Octavia (the 1.9 and 2.0 PD engines use the same part number) but with mine it was the EGR control solenoid which failed rather than the N75. Unfortunately you do have to replace the whole thing if one valve inside it dies and it cost about £193 for a new unit :|  It's a sealed unit and they really mean 'sealed' - before I threw my old one away I tried to break it open with a hammer and chisel to find what had actually failed inside it but I couldn't even get the casing open!
