Hello forum,

Currently have a 2002 fabia, but the front bumper isn't equipped with fogs, I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade this with fog units, Is the wiring loom able to do this, Or do they modify the loom before installing it for my particular model?

i used to have a corsa c without fogs i fitted sri bumpers and all wiring was there i can't see it not being there on the ferby aswell tbh 

Reckon it would be easier to change the complete bumper as Steve has said!!

You've obviously never tried to retrofit anything on a VAG car. NOTHING is there unless it was needed from the factory or it's a software change.

Retrofitting fog lamps PROPERLY will be hard and expensive. It will genuinely be cheaper to sell your car and buy one with fog lamps already fitted.

Speaking of fog lights ... I'd fancy to replace mines with a set of yellow ones. Is there any option to purchase them ? Eventually, genuine ones ?

mine have been wrapped blue you can wrap them any colour you like

Seriously, I beg to differ. In the nicest way possible.

You will need;

The right grilles and mounts for fog lamps. Your bumper might have the mounting holes already. If not, you need a whole new bumper.

2 fog lamps

A fog lamp harness

A new light switch

Fuse

VCDS to programme the car to tell it it has front fog lamps

Yes, you can just run a new wire to the fogs with a separate switch but to properly retrofit the fog lamps into the CANBus isn't cheap or easy.

for me it would be as i got all the kit well did until it was robbed all new kit next week though

But you have a vRS and therefore you already have fog lamps or you will have everything already in place to fit them if they have been removed.

Where is some actual technical info for a worthy retro fit? Just because a task appears difficult it doesnt mean it isn't worth undertaking. Does anyone have wiring diagrams? Part numbers? Ta
