Brake upgrade options

Featured Replies

I don't think anything has come along which gives such a strong price/performance ratio.

Have you read the Yeti-Man's build report?  In the Yeti project section.

The big brake from a Golf Ed40 or whatever seems to offer big looks but also big weight, which will hamper grip and give your shocks a hard time.

AFAIK, anything else is either big buxs or very experimental, similar looks to the NQSBBK but using a differently sourced caliper.  Different mounts, different diameter pistons, unknowns, unknowns.

what size are your brakes now? 288/256 or 312/282 ?

S3s are plenty good enough with 345mm discs, and much more compact, though heavier, than Brembos

Thank you, will have a look at Yeti-Man's build thread :)
