aftermarket headunit & reversing beepers

Featured Replies

I'm about to have a headunit fitted into my 08 fabia, it used to be in my freelander. The guy who's ftting it is the same guy who put it in the freelander, & also took it back out. He owns a popular ICE shop in Barnsley, so i've no qualms there. But.. can i ask on here, will i lose the audible reversing beep from the proximity sensors, or does the audio come from a source other than the radio?

Please don't think i'm lazy, but i did use search option & nothing relevant came up. Thanks in anticipation.

No you won't.

There's a speaker in the lower B-pillar.

Many thanks KBPhoto,

That's music to my ears (or not, after the novelty wears off lol). Out with the old & in with the new then. Alpine CDE-W235BT 2 din cd receiver with advanced bluetooth. Love the car but the 'Dance' radio a bit basic. Cheers. Malc.
