Posted on Roomster forum but nobody replied (It's quiet over there) Has any one dismantled andor cleaned the EGR on a 1.6 tdi? It's not the traditional bolt on egr, It's about 14" long and is plumbed in to the engine cooling. It lives at the back of the engine hiding behind the DPF (Don't mention them)

I've had a new one fitted and thought there's nothing to lose by trying to service the old one. Any advice/experience much appreciated. BB

I cant help you with the situation unfortunately.

However, the 1.6 CR tdi is used in a lot more cars than just the fabia/roomster.

If its plumbed in to the cooling sounds like the egr cooler the valve normally bolts to it
