Amundsen Plus radio

Featured Replies

Ok been skulking around looking for info on here, my radio satnav section has locked up, suggestions as to how to effect a reset to factory default, via mfd etc or by a combination of buttons pushed?

Disconnect the battery earth?

Is it looking for an SD card?

Try pulling the radio constant live fuse under the bonnet for 30 seconds then replace it, that should clear it.

Ok, many thanks, fuse duly removed and reinstalled with requisite 30sec delay, all now back to normal!

Its a bit of a p**ser when it will not work and no standby maps on board, and no idea of a good route back home!

I purchased an amundsen plus on ebay a while back. Waited for a while before i installed it. Everything works fine but the system keeps reloading in Dutch language every time the car is switched off and on.

Ive tried removing the fuse, disconnecting the battery, meddling with vcds settings but nothing has worked.

Unfortunately I cannot return the radio (as i am way past the 45 day return policy).

Help Please!!! Paid quite a bit for this !!!

Is it possible that the switched feed and the permanent feed are the wrong way round. That's why it reverts back to Dutch language....

There are usually 3 wires going to a unit like that, a permanently live wire that will hold memory settings etc, a switched live that is only live when ignition is switched on that drives the radio and amplifier section and an earth wire that supplies the earth connection.
