Stage 2 TFSi Figures

Wondering what to expect on a stage 2 tfsi with no uprated fuel pump

This Inc 3" downpipe with decat

Autotec Induction

Red coils

Rev D Piston type

Thinking of Shark

It says on website 275bhp and 400ish lbs

But wondering what anyone has had from there's with similar mods from Shark?

I would seriously consider fuel pump and cam follower before the mapping on this. The HPFP will give you better fuel pressure and will allow for the 275hp figure.

Defo go with the hpfp before the mapping as said above as it will give a better and more consistent fuel pressure. I am sure Ben at shark will have a map up his sleeve to compliment the pump.

the TSI version (facelift) vRS already comes with the uprated hpfp.

But OP doesn't have a TSi according to his post.

As AP Auto says, definitely do the follower and the pump before mapping - the difference is big and the cam followers really do wear, I replaced mine twice over three years just to be on the safe side - the first one did actually show signs of wear. Only thing is, you are never going to see 400lb/ft torque - 300lb perhaps, or just over but not 400lb/ft. Mine had everything thrown at it and could muster 340lb/ft torque with Revo stage 2+ mapping and lots of hardware. (btw, I would use Shark Performance now!) With hindsight though I should have done two things. One would have been to do a K04 conversion instead of spending on all the stage 2+ bits.... and the second would have been to get a LSD as it really struggled with getting the power and torque onto the tarmac. Good luck with it. :)

R-tech would be my shout, seen very similar specs pull 270bhp/300lb/ft at stage 2. Really smooth maps too!

The tsi pump fit into tfsi? It a cheaper option? Funds don't allow for Uprated clutch, flywheel , remap. And the fuel pump with Xmas here! Unless there's a cheaper fuel pump option!

It depends how you want to modify the HPFP?

1. Replacement internals from Auto tech

2. Replacement HPFP from Loba

The replacement of internals may be a cheaper option. But it is a must.

I have seen even at stock the HPFP can be weak and giving low pressure/misfire issues.

Tsi pump will not fit. Clutch and flywheel will be fine at that power with sensible driving.

But OP doesn't have a TSi according to his post.

i have seen numerous times on this forums people referring to their TSI as a TFSI.

there have also been discussion asking how they can tell which on is which.

some brochures refer to them as "TFSI" when the engine cover has "TSI" on them.

the OP did not specify a model/year, so it could've been either.

the figures he quoted for Sharks work matched the Tfsi not the TSi. :)

i'm sorry - unlike some people, i don't have the ability to tell if its a tfsi, or tsi, based on horsepower & torque figures.

i'm a simple man. :p
