head office call

Featured Replies

Got a call from Skoda head office today to see how I liked my new car. Had to tell him I thought it was great. Only complaint was too many needless electronic toys.

"Yes," he said, "a lot of customers say that !!"

Never say things are great. Make up a long list of complaints and they'll send a part refund.

Would be interested in your list of " too many needless electronic toys"

Have you wandered through the infotainment menus?

I for one would prefer a quite a lengthy list of more electronic toys.

I'd sooner they had supplied a spare wheel, mats and all 4 mud flaps in the price of the car.

I don't use sat nav, blue rays, green UFOs or mobile phones in my car!!

+1 for mats and spare wheel, Skoda will charge for an accelerator pedal soon!

in the same way audi seem to charge for indicators

I for one am absolutely giddy that they actually offer a spare as an option. Many brands nowadays don't offer them at all. Including my current Volvo.

However I'd love to get side assist, CarPlay/Android Auto -support, a touch free boot lid and other "electronic toys" as options as well...

In that case I think they should supply a microwave and toaster, DCC control system for multi-unit locos, Virgin broadband, and a Nintendo - they could charge extra for the gearbox and drivers seat.

A good free offer would be a 250,000 mile service and a ticket to Florida.

I know the boot is big, but I doubt this proposed feature would be much use if your railroad was in a scale much larger than N.... ;)  :)

Basically I'd just like to have the same available options as the new Passat...but I'm sure it'll take a while for some of them to trickle down to Skoda as well...

I was thinking more of remote control from my car to some layout in Crewe or Yeovil.............or I suppose I could try Z ?
