I need to sell one

Featured Replies

This time, it's time to call it day with one, I said it before but thought I could keep and run 2....nope!

I know this a Skoda site so understandably it'll be biased

So do I keep an 05 mk2 Octavia 1.9tdi with 230k, 6 mts mot, no history and no receipts for things been done, being an ex taxi, the company might have some records, needs a few things inc cam sensor, front shocks and probably a few other things I don't know of yet....engine wise it pulls good with 130hp with good low down torque.....spacious and comfy

Or the Astra...04 1.7cdti, 2 mts mot now, 118k with good service history and a lot of receipts for nearly everything that's been done....it's the 100hp, still need a few things too but hopefully not as much as the Octy

Both are the same to run and tax (130 a yr) parts are much the same, some things for the Octy are dearer being vw/Audi.. both drive good

Like I say, I can't keep and run both so one has to go.....but what (scratches chin)

Astra Diesel would stay for me especially if it's already had a DMF

The one you like best and want to drive and maintain properly.

Or get shot of the one you can get sold and get money for.

Is anyone wanting to buy the Ex Taxi Skoda from you?

Flog the Astra.

Keep the Octavia.

Who in their right mind is going to buy a 9 year old, Mk I, ex-taxi, with no service history, and close to 1/4 million miles on the clock? (at least for enough to pay the cost of advertising it)

Flog the Astra for what you can get, patch up the Octavia with what it needs and run it into the ground.

Are you suggesting the OP is a bit nuts? :P

It's a mk2, first of the new shapes

I know what you're saying.....both are good to drive

Or sell both and gt something a bit better?

You may be lucky to sell either so put both up for sale and sell the one that goes first.

This, the octy is a much nicer car anyway.
