Right I need to pull my finger out and get the wagon baby ready! Do any of you dudes know if I can get isofix brackets to fit in my 03 octavia wagon for kids seat base any where? Looked ebay but could see any?

Just buy the family fix base can be belted in or isofix in newer cars

My 02 plate estate has them in already I think? There are metal brackets by the seatbelt receivers in the rear. If you lift the base of the seats up you will see them. I think there for isofix?

They are already there, just have a fiddle in between the rear bench and the back of the seat and you'll find them.  The brackets you mention might be the plastic clips that come with most ISOFIX seats which hook onto the metal brackets already in the car.  All they do is make it easier to fasten the ISOFIX seat to the car if you're taking the seat in and out a lot.  I stopped using them as they annoyed me and the various child seats worked fine without them anyway.
