Took my car in to the dealer today to get the OSF tie rod end replaced, then they rung me up later to tell me that they have found that the internal seal is leaking in the steering rack where the power steering fluid is!

Bad news is they said I need a whole new steering rack (

Relax once its fixed you will have one nice car.

I wouldnt say its a common problem on the Fabia but there was a recall/bulletin for the boots to be chaecked for leakage and the clamps replaced at the end if they were the old sort. If they were found to be leaking the rack needs changing. Only seen a handfull that actually leak so your unlucky there.
