I have just ordered a 320gb hard drive for my ps3, is it just a case of fitting it and then loading and saving games. I got it because I had the 12 or 16gb version and dont have enough spacer for gta5

There must be gazillions of topics, blogs and <ahem> "aaaarrgh!!!!!!! don't do it this way" stories over the net.

 

Short version seems to be...

Use PS3 backup to USB util.

Do the hardware mangling

Restore data from USB stick or drive.

Stuck the 320gb one in and it detected it and transferred all my saved stuff over. Happy days
