Hi - i've searched but cant seem to find any info surrounding this (in the mk3 forums also). Lots of people mention "airbag" or "pressure" sensors in the doors, and that you can't just remove the trim, but was wondering if anyone has done it, and if they have any pictures or hints/tips on how to do it.

 

I want to pull the trims off and sound deaden the front doors - I bought a bunch of spare clips in preparation (not trying to destroy clips, but know how it is). Have also bought the trim tools from lefperf. I have the canton option on my car, and wanted to help improve the front sound stage, as well as tyre noise isolation as much as possible.

 

Anyone? Surely someone has removed the front door trims on a mk3 octavia by now!
