Hey all, I know this looks like an obvious simple solution, or a stupid question but bare with me -

Vrs tdi had been parked on slight hill for a couple of days (where it always lives) Came out to it yesterday and whilst clearing the snow off the car, the coolant warning came on.

Checked the expansion tank and yes, it was low.

After a short run into town and shopping, no warning came up when I came back to the car.

Has anyone else experience a short term 'migration' of coolant?

Got a longer run today to see what occurs, but will check the level before hand.

I had the coolant level light come on 2 months back, turned out water pump was leaking and needed replacing.

Flippin heck! I've topped up the header a bit, will monitor closely
