Leaking tyre valve on Yeti with Tyre Pressure Monitor - is it just an ordinary valve to replace?

Featured Replies

Just discovered a leaking tyre valve - it's just the dust cap that's preventing it from going down, and it's doing a great job!

Obviously the valve needs replacing, and that ought to be a quick, cheap job at the local tyre depot.  But just a thought - is it just a straight bog-standard valve, or is it some special VAG/Skoda valve that's needed because of the TPM?

Normal Valve.

VAG use a sensor on the front strut/hub that monitors tyre rotation etc... not a sensor in the valve/tyre like Nissan do. :)

+1 and don't forget to reset the TPM when you've resolved your problem.

Might it just need a new core, which you can do yourself?
