Question mk1 2001 skoda octavia 110 tdi asv engine code for life for money can't find any engines but can find plenty of 90 tdi alh engines just need to know if there's anything different internally if not can a swap be done ie complete engine with pump and turbo fitted in my 110 tdi elegance paraffin burner. .....

only the cyl block with pistons is a direct fit.

If you use the ASV cyl head,turbo,injectors,pump...etc,you can unse a AHL block

 

All theese engines have the same cyl bloc,so swapable

What about using a complete ahf engine and with my asv turbo prob will have to switch sump over for the sensor required.

what about using a propper engine and don;t mix parts 

That's the problem finding one the asv 110 tdi engine really hard to find have tried all my local breakers around my area and ebay found nothing only alh 90 tdi engine and ahf 110 tdi engine.

what's wrong with the old engine?what failed?

Hole in the block from a con rod letting go 196k

Give me no warning what so ever and only doing 40 at time of let go through road works.

so you need just the block,shouldn't be that difficult

there are plenty of asv engines about - quick search on ebay reveals prices around £250 - £500
