I had a fault on my Fabia 1.4 16v last week, and wanted to mention it here mainly because of the excellent service I received.

Had been having intermittent misfires, and eventually an engine warning light came on while on holiday on Isle of Wight. Called in at F H Winters without an appointment and at lunchtime, so expected a long wait. The car was looked at within 5 mins, VAG-COM diagnosed a faulty coil pack. Replacement fitted right away, quick road test, and I was away less than 30 minutes from arriving. This was excellent service from Winters - I will try them for a quote when I change to my next Skoda.

Good to hear about the dealers, we had similar service from our local garage (Marlborough West London) when our octy had the tell tail scraping noise on ARB (pre-briskoda.. didnt know what it was!) took it in but were off on hols in couple of days when we told them this as it ment we couldnt book it in for a month.... they took it round bak, gave us courtsey car there and then and had the job done within the day, never expected that... were going to book it in for a months time! but they insisted they would do it!
