Hi All and happy new year to the members here on this great forums 

 

i have a problem trying to get the left hand wishbone replaced the problem is the bolt hits the DSG gearbox and i can´t get the clearance i need any one done this here ?? any help , I really don´t want to make this more difficult than it is heheheheh so some time it is better to ask , this bolt is just pain in the neck

I got my mechanic to do this job last year. He said it was a real pain because the DSG was in the way of the bolt. I think he had to loosen all the subframe bolts to be able to get clearance to remove the bolt.

 

Alternatively I guess you could support that side of the engine and undo the side and rear engine mounts and jack the engine/transmission up to get the clearance required?
