Hairball reporting.

 

It's that time that I had dreaded, that time that I must release my beloved Yeti Jana back into the wild. Thank you so much Jana.

 

Jana is nearly 3 years old and the time has come that she is now back up for adoption by another. We have covered many miles together in both sun and rain (and other UK weather). We have had a near faultless relationship over this time and has been the most versatile car that I have had the pleasure to drive. 

 

Some of my fondest memories are when I had the chance to catch up with some other Briskoda people. A few Castle Combe attendances back in 2012 and 2013 and one that I will never forget the mega meet in 2013 when the Yeti (collective) had a play on the slopes of the heritage motor museum garden writing Yeti on the hill with err.. Yeti (collective). Unfortunately due to work I did not have the chance to catch up in 2014 but hope to pop in to some events during 2015.

 

The best things about my Yeti, well just about everything I guess. The 170 motor was a gem, the rock solid handling, more so in the wet. The adaptable load space, the spooky park assist to show off and many more. The sunroof is amazing.

 

Things I will not miss, now I'm nit picking, the leather seats are freezing in the winter but the heated seats help sort that. Packing vertically is fine once you get used to it.

 

Due to my change in work circumstances and personal family situation my mid term journeys no longer suit a black pump oil burner. This is the primary reason for change. I did consider a new petrol Yeti but with Yeti II due in a couple of years combined with a slight (huge) mid life desire for something a tad 'cooking' an ex demo petrol Ocatvia III VRS  (Olga) will be taking the place of Jana.next week.

 

She will be missed... a lot.

 

I hope you don't mind too much if I pop in here and nose around from time to time even though I have not posted regularly on here for a while. The Yeti section of Briskoda has been not only one of the most informative but also one of the most light hearted places to visit compared to other fora.

Hi Hairball. Hope you enjoy the new car as much as you obviously have enjoyed your Yeti and I'm sure we would all welcome your continued visits - I'm sure you will continue to have something to contribute to some of the discussions from your past experiences and anyway, keeping a look in here might give you a heads up on what to look for when Yeti II arrives! 

I have just made the same change. Picked up my Octy vrs today. Mine is the diesel version though. Enjoy it.
