Got this for Christmas, but have the PS4 in the living room. I've tested remote play with Destiny and it was absolutely bob on

 

It's tiny to, and allows you to play PSN / PS Vita games etc.

Is it only connectable to yor network via ethernet?

No, it has built in WiFi, I have Cabled my place though so when I tested it I had it plugged into ethernet.
