No Starting problems this winter

Featured Replies

After numerous starting problems last winter , Skoda assist callouts ,dealer battery checks, being continuously being told that the original Skoda battery was fine and still getting starting problems ,I purchased a 77ah Bosch against the advice of my dealer , what a difference this winter starts first time every time. Can I get refund on the jump leads and battery charger purchased after trying to live with the "not fit for purpose " battery fitted by cost cutting Skoda.

I thought you were joking: read it, and moved on...

I don't think Skoda UK or your dealer will be refunding you the cost of the jump leads and charger, they won't even admit to fitting inferior low spec/cost batteries to their cars.

On a more serious note you should at least let them know that since fitting a proper battery all issues have gone, that there are lots of lots of unhappy customers also suffering at the hands of Skoda's cost cutting (there are more battery related threads recently than I've ever known at this time of year, and this winter has been mild!)

Or just take pride in the fact that you know that you've improved your car's reliability!

I'd write it on their fb and twitter accounts, they'll take notice when they know lots of people can see it

Thats what Skoda's all about - cheap as chips - you could have spent another £7K getting the BWM equivalent, buts that would make a very expensive battery.

So on the bright side you have saved a right wedge overall - try flogging them on gumtree..
