HID coding pre fl octavia 2008

Featured Replies

I know there's hundreds of threads regarding hid coding however, after doing several searches on the forum I cant seem to find exactly what I'm after. I'm not familiar with any of this.

I've contacted a member on the forum who has vcds and has kindly agreed to help with coding once I've fitted them.

The member requested a step by step coding instructions as they are not familiar with coding hids.

Is anyone able to give me the information to complete the coding? I have a 2008 pre fl octavia vrs 170pd

Did you ever receive any help, I to am in the same position. except mines a 09 pf 140

There is no single definitive way. The exact coding changes are dependent on the controller version fitted. Use the many threads in here and the long coding helper and it is just a case of ticking/unticking boxes.

just found this....

byte 14, bit 4 from a 0 to a 1 and all will operate fine.

may help you if you have vcds...

But it won't necessarily be byte 14 on all controller versions. Using the long coding helper the relevant bit should show up as "xenons without shutters" or similar.
