Performance exhuast for vRS

Featured Replies

Okie doke, due to a suprising drop in my insurance, and a drop on my door mat (9 months interest free credit card :D ) I am after a new exhaust for the Furby...

I would like the Milltek but it's a little dear, Blueflame is worth considering, but there bloomin far away!

Is there any other companies that make performance exhausts for the Furbster (I seem to remember Scorpian made a system but I cant find any details on there site)

Or a custom exhaust - any recomendations? Powerflow can make up a custom exhaust (they do have this tasty tailpipe http://www.powerflowexhausts.net/products_details.cfm?partno=RAIT ) for around the same price as the Blueflame (de-cat and tailpipe)

Any thoughts etc etc welcome

James :)

I know scorpion do one seen it on potn.com i think, but its a single 3" or 2.5" from what i remember and haven't heard anything about it. Not a big Powerflow fan myself think they all sound like fook all but in saying that only seen them on petrol cars

I had a Powerflow system on my Nissan and was very happy with it. The guys that made it, did it as a two box system with the middle box interchangeable with the cat for MOT time, but it was a full turbo back system. Had it on the car for almost the whole 4 years I had it, and never had any bother with it. There were a couple of times that I clouted it because the car was too low, which caused slight blows as it pulled the clamped joints apart, and on these occasions I took it back to them and they fixed the blows for free. So all told very happy with the price, quality and service.

Still, this time around I am looking at the Blueflame system myself as you just can't argue with the price. My 200sx system was cheap at the time as they had only just opened and were trying to encourage business, but their prices have increased as their rep has, so don't think they can compete with Blueflame on price, especially with the inclusion of the sports cat on the Blueflame system.

James,

Go for the Bluflame, you praised mine on the Octy Vrs, I went to Blueflame to get it fitted and they make a first class job as it is made to measure, and you get to come back on the M6 race track, sorry M6 toll road to try it out.

I have gone for the Blue Flame exhaust on mine, with the 6x4 oval Pipe. I think that it looks great. I have noticed that I can now here the Turbo spin up and down a bit more now, I presume that that is the exhaust doing that.

Pic?

Does the car still sound like a diesel when driving after fitting a peformance exhaust?

Got Blue flame on the 4x4 :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I thought they now did an off the shelf system for the Furbie, If thats the case just find someone to fit it, If you try a small Independent garage or Exhaust company & mention that old saying "Ow much for cash M8" that should do the trick but keep the old one, Its always handy to put back on when you sell it

Very happy with my blueflame exhaust. The turbo does seem a bit louder when you`re caning it but exhaust note still quite muted. i think it looks great with the standard round tailpipe too.

Yup blueflame it is ;)

If you are considering the Blue Flame system have a look at this thread outlining the recently negotiated prices for a group buy. clicky

i have the furby milltek on my ibiza chuffed to bits with it

I have to agree Martin - tbh at first I really didnt like the blueflame tail pipe but looking at it:

Has an old-skool look lol

Yup blueflame it is ;)

I got a bit bored with the standard tail pipe so I got powerflow to fit a new one..

Sound wise the Blue flame system is not much loader than standard when cruising about but when you give it some I get a nice warble/burble - deep in tone and slightly throaty sounding. Turbo is quite a bit louder - whooshing and hissing noises although this maybe down to the remap.

This what it sounds like at standstill.. try and ignore the diesel clatter :D

Join the Group buy for the Blueflame exhaust, you can have the full system with sport cat for the cost of some other well known systems and your local exhaust fitter will fit it for a little 'backhander!'

That's pretty much what I've done :)
