you know when you got your remap done at jabba did u get the custom or generic. At the moment i am planning on going to Jabba and getting the Generic one but i am in East Yorkshire and it is a long way to go thats why i wondered about the one posted above as they come to you.

Also what is your fuel economy like since you had the remap

Fuel economy for me hasnt changed what so ever. If anything it has dropped but thats because I tend to "boot it" more often.

I went for the custom map because the generic map wasnt offered when I had it done. AMD are 2 mins round the corner from me and now offer a generic map too. If I get another 1.8T I'll probably get one of those.

Thought I would come here and answer some of your questions.

Yes a 10% increase in econmy is very possible. If you drive in the same manner you did before you have the remap, then you will use less fuel due to the optimised settings. In the past three weeks, we tested two more cars. A new BMW M3 that used to get 400 miles from a tank, achieved 460 miles over the same journey post remap. Also a Seat Ibiza Cupra that used to acheive 43.2mpg over a 300 round trip, achieved 47mpg over the same journey.

There is obviously the 'boot it' factor. Whereby you will be more tempted to put your foot down, and therefore will use more fuel, but you will get to your destination quicker. Any questions, feel free to email [email protected]

i Would have been very tempted by this company but they wanted to charge me for the cost of fuel to get to me. When i enquired at upsolute they where not going to charge me fuel costs at all and they are no more local to me than powermaps are.

We only charge for fuel when the customer lives an exceptional distance away. In your case, I believe it would have been an 800 mile rounds trip. In many cases, it is still cheaper for the customer to have us visit thier home that it would be for them to travel to the likes of Jabba, absolute, star etc etc. The other difference, is we are not limited to VAG cars.

so how much extra would it cost me for you to come to me?? If it was a reasonable amount i would still be interested. I do also have a few other questions though.

What is the power delivery like after one of your remaps on a vehicle like mine? Is it prone to "spiking" as the upsolute one can be or is the power delivery smooth all the way up the rev range?

I have already uprated my dump valve to the 710n valve from an audi tt 225bhp, are there any other modifications that are needed before you remap my vehicle?

Once the remap is done, do you just pack up and go or do i have a drive first to make sure everything is to my satisfaction?

I was thinking of using the "buy it now" on your ebay sales, how soon after this would you contact me to arrange a convenient date for remap and how soon could you do it if i was interested?

How acurate are your post map figures?

i also make it more like 400 miles. But like i said if you let me know how much the extra cost would be then we could maybe work something out from there.

Its about a 300 mile round trip for us to get to peterborough, rob. But we can stop off at my dads for food!
