Blimey - they really have stuffed that engine in there tight - not much room to get at anything, let alone the backs of the headlights.

So what is the whitest and brightest dipped headlight bulb to go for?

In my Citigo I've got Halfords Ultra Brilliance +120%. They are very bright and white with no blue tint when lit. They've outlasted my Osram nightbreakers which only lasted 8 months [emoji57]

Also buy one get one free at the moment [emoji106]

Some people don't like them but I've never had a problem with them. They outlast all the big brands.

Hello

can i replace any of headlights or tail lights bulbs with LEDs?

Skoda Rapid 2015

thanks

I've just had the Philips White Vision Xenon Effect bulbs fitted and they are a big improvement.

Anyone got any pictures yet before an after? See if it's worth forking out for before I get some.

These are the bulbs I fitted (get them from Amazon, they are £4 cheaper than ECP and Amazon will actually deliver them after taking your money, unlike ECP)

The main change is that the new Philips bulbs are significantly whiter and brighter. The new side light bulbs are an equal improvement over the factory ones.

The factory fitted H7 bulbs were also Philips, but not white bulbs.

Much better improvement over standard [emoji106]

I fitted Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited today (ECP @ £17.99 http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/car-accessories-products/lighting-accessories/upgrade-headlamp-bulbs/?48177022N&0&) and have to say they are a marked improvement over the OEM H7's. A much whiter light and better penetration on unlit roads.

I also took the opportunity to fit LED sidelights, again from ECP, link here: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/car-maintenance-accessories/bulbs/brake-lights-bulbs/?971776331&0&cc5_401

Thanks for the link, I've just ordered 2 sets of the can bus led's. Hoping to use one set for side lights and the other set for rear number plates...

I fitted the LED side lights today with the can bus (whatever it is...) Now my headlights and side lights are much better (although I'll be getting the head lights adjusted after the poor job carried out by the accident repair shop, I couldn't see further than 10 yards over the weekend, so annoyed!). The rear number plate lights look much more 2015 as pose to their previous early 2000's bulb ;) All in all money well spent and a dodle to fit (I did them all out side the Bargin Booze [other off-licences are available] where ups delivered them to instead of my home?) :)

Glad they worked out well.

I'm now tempted to order a second set for the number plate lights, and also possibly my Yeti.

I was thinking interior lights and boot... But can't justify the cost as I have an expensive month ahead!

eBay is your friend [emoji106]

I got them all for my Citigo off there and so far lasted 2 years [emoji4]

7 months on and still going strong

Good to know, am very tempted by those CANBUS LEDs for my number plate lights.

My Philips sidelights and dipped beams are also still going strong and doing very well.

The bulbs were one on the parts I managed to keep hold of after the accident. Osram night breakers and the can bus led side lights and number plate lights. I have to say they look so much better!

Hoping the night breakers last me a little longer! Although will try the Phillips next time.

Has anyone got a link to the can bus friendly number plate bulbs you are using please??

Also the 501 bulbs that come with the Philips , do they match the h7's colour wise?

Thought id bump an old thread up rather than make a new one.

I hate the yellow glare you get from the factory bulbs!!

Are they bulbs fairly easy to change on the Rapid? What would people recommend for a nice crisp white/blue light?

Would you place dipped and main bulbs?
