Octy vRS can be set to fixed or variable. Mines on fixed and thats about what I paid for my last service at 30,000miles if that helps

I was told, when I asked about variable servicing, that the vRS doesn't come into this catergory. 10,000 miles or twelve months and that's it. Can anyone confirm this i.e. one of our tech buddies? I'm confused. :confused:

Well I've owned mine since it had 8 miles on the clock. It's now got 18,100 on it and it says 500 miles to service.

The dealer was offering long life oil, so I assume everything's ok

Yep longlife oil is a requirement of being on variable, Castrol SLXII longlife is the stuff my dealer uses.

Price seems pretty good for a first variable.
