Hi, I am picking up my Fabia vRS on saturday and am looking to upgrade the head unit.

I would ideally like satnav, DAB and connectivity to my phone. I'm not so fussed for DVD or anything like that but want one that is designed for the car rather than a £50 halfords jobbie.

Yes apart from the mdi box. But the headunit does all that

Is there a nice alernative that won't require me to take out a second mortgage?

Amundsen +, or columbus. They are the standard factory upgrade units. There are various models though with different bits on like bt, dab etc. Just make sure you get the one with what you want

I'm looking at maybe buying an Amundsen in the future, just think the head unit looks miles better with the sat nav display...
