Hi all,

 

is there a way to enable an audible beep like the low fuel warning when the outside temp drops below 3 degrees with VCDS at all?.

 

My car is a mk1 Octavia Vrs of 2003 vintage.

My 2012 MKII FL 'bongs' when the temp drops to 4C.

The mk1 doesn't as standard, but would be handy if it could be done.

Would be great if people could read. The original poster has a MK1 not a MK2.. We all know the MK2's do it - hes simply asking if there a way it could be done on a MK1.....

My mkI didn't bong for temp or low fuel and I didn't find an option in VCDS to enable it. It seems to be dependent on the instrument cluster fitted. I have seen other mkIs which do bong though.

Trundlenut, do you think it's worth firing ross tech a support email in case they have a solution, or am I just wasting my time?.

Does the L&k chime or bong maybe some body with the model could enlighten.
