Change stereo from Swing(CD) to Columbus/Amundsen

Featured Replies

Hello,

Is it possible to change stereo unit from the standard Swing-stereo to Columbus or Amundsen?

If possible, is it hard?

You'll need the GPS part and possibly car motion sensors working as it's not all done just on GPS so you need to check if the proper pulse is supplied or not, iirc it's no longer on the radio itself like the old days and is now a pin in the speedo interface,

Personally I'd go aftermarket as some look oem'ish anyway now

I had this in my Passt

£299 at the time.

Yes you can. No it's not hard.

Apart from GPS antenna and probably a new fascia, it's pretty straightforward.
